Army of Me - Bjork

My sister's life is more exciting than mine at the moment. Another day, another lookbook . Between, working a full time job, going to the gym, paying bills, fit modeling for SVA, hanging out with her boyfriend, she manages to squeeze in some print jobs too. I don't know how she does it, I was tired all the time, when I lived in New York. This girl seriously pounds the pavement. . .

Do you live in DC/VA now? Are you thinking of returning to NY again? You know, I was tired a lot in NY back in the day, but then my body just snapped into action and I was high-energy, damn-near ADHD. When I moved back here, I instantly got calm...it was like my body and brain kind of adapted to my environment.

You should move back to NY--and I'll suggest some good city-girl vitamins.

I live in DC/VA now (and you have to see my latest thrift store finds. . . you will be amazed). Moving back here has been instantly calming and certainly calmer on the pocketbook. I think I might move back to NYC eventually. . . but somehow I feel now just isn't the time for me. I was recently looking at apartments online and I forgot how ridiculously expensive it is!

Tell me about it (the expensive apartment part). I'm dreading the hunt for a decent, rodent-free, conveniently-located studio apartment with character and a do-able price tag. arrgh!

Yes...show me the thrifty finds! What's ur favorite thrift spot down here?

I've still got to take photos of my thrift finds, but remarkably, my favourite spot is Salvation Army and Goodwill. Half the fun is finding something amazing. I looked at apts in Brooklyn yesterday. It made my head spin, once again. . .
