So those that know me, understand that I love all things Henry Holland. He represents a frivolity and joyfulness which draws me in constantly. Plus, he seems like he would be an awesome friend to have. I have no idea how I missed this amazing video but it's been making me smile all morning long. And as always there's spot on styling from Sam Ranger. It's almost as fabulous as this:

New Isabel Marant has dropped at La Garconne, including those ankle boots which Kate Bosworth has lived in all summer long. I'm tempted to buy some Isabel Marant only because I've very curious about the fit. It's kind of amazing, the hype behind a designer. I'm sure she lives up to it in every way, but once something gets implanted in my brain through the blog-o-sphere fifty bajillion times, it gets the automatic sign off of approval in some weird way. Also if Taylor approves, I wonder if maybe I should too.

Sometimes I wish that summer would go on forever. Other times when I am more aware and less dreamy, I realize that if it did go on forever, I would probably stop appreciating it as much as I do. Funny how that works. But I know myself better and better with each passing day.

I was never really one for licking my wounds. It doesn't feel nice and it is metaphorically soggy. The best advice I can give you is to not spend too much time wallowing in self pity. It will only drag you down, blinding you to opportunities in which you could laugh at life. Because most things are pretty funny when the appropriate time has passed. So reach into your closet, pull out that dress you haven't worn (because it probably needs a hem) and go out to brunch with the two friends that you can always get guaranteed laughter from the power of three. Smile bashfully when your one friend introduces you to a really famous journalist, secretly wish you had worn something with a little more coverage (the back dips frightfully low), but then revoke that thought because whatever happens, you still feel beautiful and not as precious as you once were. And that feeling should be treasured and kept in your back pocket for when you most need it.

Remember the time we were suppose to pick out a love poem for me to read at your wedding, but bored with the task, we went to the pool instead? These are the times that are fondest to me.

Miss Moss might be my favorite blogger of the moment. She's got a tasteful eye for the elegant and a wicked sense of humor. She always seems to find the things I'll most enjoy (before I find them myself). Carven has had churned out some consistently beautiful clothing since it's re-release as a label. The Resort 2012 collection doesn't stray far from their usual fare of prim folding and draping. The shoes are lovely as well. I have to be careful with what I adorn my size 10/41 feet with, but I'd be willing to chance it. And the model looks sufficiently moody (another Miss Moss note). I'd say, this is a successful look book, folks.
Every summer like a little miracle sent from the heavens, the winter chub which I amount in order to stay warm of course (and because there's nothing else to do during the winter besides eat) comes off at an accelerated rate. I have credited this to the fact that during the summer I hate eating. Don't get me wrong, I do it (as you should!) But I can't eat most hot things or anything with a bun (yup, that leaves me at a loss at barbecues). I stick to mostly fruit, raw veggies and cold cereal. And I drink water like it's going out of style. It not only makes me feel good but it keeps me a bit slim during the cruelest season of them all: swimsuit season. I wonder if a lot of people find they eat healthier in the summer time?
